KANSAS CITY – SEIU Local 1 maintenance workers and game-day staff at Arrowhead Stadium and the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice facilities today voted to ratify a new contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. The three-year agreement offers more than 200 workers, who maintain Arrowhead Stadium and the Chiefs’ practice facilities and provide crucial game-day services, yearly raises and protects existing health and retirement benefits.

“Local 1 members work hard every day to make Arrowhead Stadium a world-class venue and to deliver a top-notch experience for fans,” said SEIU Local 1 Skilled Maintenance Lead Don Edmonson. “We came together and won the good raises we need to support our families and communities.”

Workers at Arrowhead Stadium are the latest group to win higher wages, better benefits and a brighter future. More than 900 Local 1 Kansas City janitors kick off their fight for a strong new contract in early 2020.
