Food service workers win new agreement with good raises, better benefits

“Local 1 food service workers came together and showed they are essential in keeping Homewood-Flossmoor High School running each and every day,” said SEIU Local 1 Vice President LaToyia Comb. “This strong new agreement will help lift up the entire Homewood-Flossmoor community.”
The new three-year union contract guarantees:
Annual wage increases for food service workers, which will help Homewood-Flossmoor food service workers support their families and keep up with the cost of living
Protecting healthcare while costs across the country rise
Better benefits including reimbursement for uniform costs and an additional holiday
